Weird Wangdoodles

Apparently, I am weird because I
a) believe in Jesus Christ
b) enjoy beer, but not drunkenness
c) make high pitched noises when I'm happy
d) have a severe case of mooning
e) can do 5 things at once
     1. watch a movie
     2. facebook
     3. eat dinner
     4. skype
     5. make my list of things to do....after the movie is over of course.
f) am completely capable of napping when not tired
g) make a list of odd qualities about myself just to prove a point

Today was odd in itself. I slept late because I didn't have work and went to bed late, but then managed to do letter e before I decided to f. That's right, I napped from 12:30 to 4pm. Oops. This is a true statement: I was pathetic today. I did dishes, worked, ran, taught cardio, made supper, painted, and managed to fit a blog in all in a matter of 7 hours. It is probably time to sleep AGAIN since I train someone at 5:45am, approximately 5 hours away. Ugh. Maybe tomorrow will entail a more interesting array of writing topics.

My Relationship with Running

So several weeks ago I began training for a half marathon coming up in October. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy running, but I think I'm getting back into it in the wrong way. I find myself dreading long runs, skipping short days and yet conquering all the miles I set out on the road to do.  It's a serious love/hate relationship.  Here I am somehow content being single because I can't even keep up a healthy relationship with my running regimen.
Bah, so Saturday rolled around...went to the local farmer's market again for some sweet taters and acorn squash. Not going to lie, I made some sweet tater fries and some bomb acorn squash with brown sugar. At about 11am, I ventured out for my longest run thus far: 7 miles. I took a little break at the rec and went a mile on an elliptical to justify a break then went back out to finish my mileage on the road. My body is still wondering why I would run so far...everything kinda aches at the point.
Later that day went to Pillsbury, it was beautiful as ever. Went out with Elyse B. She is such a special girl, I always enjoy our time together. la la la. This is boring. Guess I better take up another more adventurous hobby to blog about.

State Fair of Kansas

Great afternoon of frisbee.  Bootcamp at Profitness. Tonight was even better.  Loud tractors. Thanksgiving for earplugs.  Jumbo sized corn dogs, make that 2 corn dogs, one being a Pronto Pup. Yummy Yum Yum. Watched the most incredible spray paint artist perform his magic...in turn, had my world rocked by his talent.  Decided I was going to marry this stranger with a pony-tail, sweet skills, and Spanish accent.  It was an internal decision though, maybe I'll let him in on it if I ever see him again.  Finished the evening with tasty chocolate cupcakes on the parking grounds. Laura Allison totally killed some cupcake standards of mine.  Wow, those things were nom nom nom.  However, this pressured me to eat yet two of them also.  Good thing I feel fine and am totally looking forward to a run in the morning, of course, after the farmer's market with my dear Rachel Baker. to finish up....I opened two letters from my friends I made in Alaska this summer: Elyse P and Sarah O...God is so good to have blessed me with them. I love seeing God working on other's hearts more than anything else because...oh, I don't know, I guess that's the only thing that really matters in the end. I'm getting super sleepy and  mildly dilirious. Yeah for tomorrow, for another good day with God's planning is among us.
